Darwin, God and the Aliens
What is a human being? Are humans mundane, extra-terrestrial or divine? What accounts for our divine proportions, our Vesuvius physique? Whose instruments applied the Golden Rule during our construction phase? Can the body, the mind and the soul be explained by physical, chemical and electrical laws of nature? What is consciousness? Does the soul equate to spirit or Holy Spirit, or is spirit completely different? If we are but a short-lived expression of a higher creator’s sense of humor, should we defy the creator by trying to live forever and stop our soul from entering a toad upon our physical demise? Is there a God or is God simply the sum of everything we do not understand about life and the universe? We kill time, and time kills us. It’s the price of being born, but is that our only purpose?
Scenario 1: Darwin and the scientists claim we evolved from primordial gases in the early atmosphere into eukaryotes made up of trillions of cells with many life processes little different from those of a fungus or a potato. Pre-birth nature has been overruled and post-birth influences reign supreme nowadays as the determining factor in gender and all other supposed biases. Does it matter if we grow from savage to human, superhuman to transhuman? Is there an integrity to be protected at all costs, or are we just the 3D printed product of some designer’s imagination? Is there such a creature as a noble savage? Are humans innately good, bad or neutral? And a dog?
Scenario 2: The Bible says, And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. Genesis 2:7. If the writer of Genesis is correct, did God create humans in his own image just to show off among his friends or—as with most of our modern social and scientific developments—just to see if it could be done? Religion credits humans with both a soul—Does the body not lose 21 grams of weight just after death?—and a spirit (weightless, as far as we know). If soul and spirit are not one and the same, what is the difference? Is the soul the sum of all the parts or just the passive, eternal part; and the spirit the active, driving force?
Scenario 3: Ancient Babylonian gods known as the Anunnaki came to Earth 450,000 years ago and mixed with prehistoric humans to create Adam and Eve.. . . to be continued
